A look through the camera lens

I feel grateful that I can just grab my camera and step outside to take photos each day.  It is the only thing that inspires me lately.  I am following the advice of a professional photographer by going out each day with my camera and using the manual settings instead of the automatic ones to become a better photographer.  I take the pictures and download them right away to see how the settings I have chosen turn out.  Some of my photos are blurry, others are too light or too dark but as the light changes on the really colorful rhododendrons, I feel happy as I click away at the buds and the flowers.  These hardy native plants provide me with splashes of colors that brighten my days.  Nature keeps me grounded and feels me with hope for the future.  Everytime I look through my lens I feel present in the moment.  As I walk around I allow my eyes and intuition to guide me towards the next shot, holding my camera while moving through life, gives me peace of mind and connects me with the universe.
